Park like a Museum VIP in our onsite garage.
How it works
The Griffin MSI garage is the only Museum-owned parking. Metered self-parking lots outside the Museum building are not managed by Griffin MSI.
Parking in the underground garage is $22 for Individual members, $14 for Dual members. (Good for one car per day. See “Additional drivers.”) When entering the garage, pull a parking ticket at the gate. At the end of your visit, stop at a parking pay station before returning to your car. Insert your parking ticket and then scan your membership card. Complete your payment. (If the rate does not reduce correctly, visit the Membership or Ticketing desk for assistance.) At the exit gate in the garage, insert your validated and paid parking ticket and enjoy the rest of your day.
Additional parking details
Free or discounted parking applies to only one car per membership per visit. Additional cars will be charged at the standard rate. Motorcycle parking is not permitted. Your parking benefit applies only to the Griffin MSI underground garage. Metered self-parking lots east and south of the Museum building on Columbia Drive are managed and transacted by Standard Parking: (312) 742-7667. Need a replacement membership card? Membership rates for the underground garage are only valid when a driver from the membership household is parking as part of visiting Griffin Museum of Science and Industry. Griffin MSI monitors its parking garage and reserves the right to revoke a member’s parking benefits if it is determined that the benefits are being used for anything other than a visit to Griffin MSI. This provision applies to all levels of Museum membership.
